Located in NYC, Imagine Works offers a variety of classes & performance opportunities year round for tweens & teens!

BEGINNER MUSICAL THEATRE CLASS & PRODUCTION

In this class, young performers will learn the basic skills in voice, acting, and dance to use their bodies, voices, and emotions on stage to become a character. They will work together on Thursdays to produce a mini-musical TBD, and incorporate what they learn into a tangible performance.

 

Begins Thursday February 6th from 4-5:30pm. Performances of the musical will be on Saturday May 17th at 3pm. There will be no class on 2/20 and 4/17.

*Ages 8-12. Students must be 8yrs. by the 1st class.

INTRO TO MUSICAL THEATRE CLASS

In this brand-new introductory class, students will discover theater, dance, and music through games and activities, building confidence in beginner skills. At the end of the semester, they will perform a "variety show" for family & friends.

Begins Saturday 2/1 from 10-11am. Final class on 6/7.

*Ages 5-7. Students must be 5yrs. by the 1st class.

SUMMER MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE & PRODUCTION

Imagine Works Youth Theatre is a pre-professional training program for kids, tweens and teens 8-17. Our students focus on the fundamental skills in voice, drama and dance, while also applying what they learn in class to an actual performance.

 

Camp Imagine is a performance intensive summer camp for kids 8-18. Our students focus on the fundamental skills in voice, drama and dance, including audition technique, on-camera commercials, improvisation, hip hop, jazz, tap, and more! In the afternoons, we rehearse for our main stage productions.

 

Camp Imagine is great for both experienced and new performers. We have two different sections according to age: Section 1 ages 8-11, and Section 2 ages 12-18. Our class sizes are small so that every camper receives one-on-one attention from instructors. Campers are placed into groups of 10-12 for morning classes to allow kids to learn at their own level.

 

Camp Imagine runs from July 7th-July 25th 9am-3:30pm, with performances on July 25th evening, and July 26th morning/afternoon.

PRIVATE VOICE, ACTING & DANCE LESSONS

Imagine Works offers private lessons in all areas, including audition preparation and helping with the middle & high school, and college audition process.

Lessons are-

Virtual on Zoom $50/hour or $35/half hour 

In Person at The Players Theatre $80/hour

*CANCELLATION POLICY*

If a cancellation must be made, please email or call us prior to 2 weeks of the first day of class/camp for a full refund. Please understand that if a cancellation is made with less than 2 weeks notice, no refund will be given since it will be difficult to fill that vacant spot.

*2 MISS POLICY*

We understand students get sick, go on vacation, or have family obligations. However, due to the intensive collaborative nature of our program, students enrolled in our performance workshops or summer camps cannot miss more than 2 day of rehearsals. Notice must be given in advance of rehearsal if a student will be missing that day.

*COVID-19 PROCEDURES*

All of us at IWYT are dedicated to keeping our students & instructors safe. Since we operate in a professional entertainment venue, we must follow all NYC guidelines and mandates. For all in-person classes & rehearsals, masks & vaccinations are fully optional. In the event that this changes, we will let all registered students know.
